Treating Adults:
At Toothbrusher's Dental, we know that many adults are reluctant to be treated because of previous bad dental experiences. This is a problem that perpetuates itself because the longer one waits to see the dentist the more advanced the situation becomes and more treatment is required. We try to break this cycle by providing honest, gentle, and caring treatment to adults, especially those that haven't been to a dentist for a while. It is common to hear Dr. Guilford say, "It doesn't matter what you did in the past, I'm not here to preach to you. What matters is where we go from here." And the truth is dentistry has come a long way in the last few years alone and many of those old stories just aren't true anymore! Whether you have an emergency or simply need a cleaning you will always be treated with respect and warmth. Treating Children: Children are very important to us at Toothbrusher's Dental. We know that from the first time they walk (or are carried) into the waiting room, they are forming impressions of the dentist office that will last a lifetime! This is why we gear our office to be concerned not only with the health of the child's mouth but also his or her experience at the dental office. We always talk to children and try to explain what we are doing in terms that a child can understand so that fear of the unknown is minimized. We provide family friendly television, movies or music in the treatment rooms and waiting room to make the atmosphere of the dental office feel more like home. Children are very alert to stories of the dental office. If your child hears you describe a bad dental experience, chances are that they will be very frightened at the dental office.
