 For me art has multiple purposes.  One is to communicate how I see the world around me.  I enjoy experimenting with color and form to create enhanced images of objects and moments that often go unnoticed.  Most of all I have a passion for color.  I enjoy finding beauty in unusual things and places.  I also use art as a means of personal therapy.  Often pieces are expressions of my thoughts, emotions, and opinions on the world around me.  This includes humor.  I have learned that art does not have to be serious to be appreciated.  Humor is an emotion that often gets overlooked, but I think it is an important expression of who a person is.  I try to show my personality through my pieces and give each work its own personality as well.  Overall I hope that those who see my art can identify with it and find a little bit of themselves in each piece.
